As I passed by on this high country road, some kids had picked various wildflowers and artistically placed them to resemble Colorado's state flag. Cells phone shots followed as they recorded what a creative mind can do. Their creation was a little distracting however, because flower stems stuck out everywhere, like porcupine quills. I returned a little while later at sunset to do a little rearranging of their work and put on the wide angle lens. I wanted not only the uniqueness of their idea, but the beauty and ruggedness of our state that its flag represents. Enjoy!
